CPCAB CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING SKILLS

This course  is taught over 7 modules and you will learn how to:

Use counselling skills ethically and safely
Manage helping interactions
Communicate empathic understanding
Manage an active listening space
Use self-awareness to facilitate helping work
use counselling skills coherently
Use study skills to help manage your learning


The course is based on Gerard Egan's 3 Stage Model of a Helping Interaction

Asssessment: Students are required to complete a weekly learning review which forms  part of their portfolio of work and the internal assessment. Students are also required to sit an external assessment where a DVD is shown and students answer 5 questions relating to that DVD


Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a formal Certificate in Counselling Skills from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body


Payment can be made by installments either per term or monthly

DURATION: 15 WEEKS  -  9.30 - 4.30

OR EVENING: 6 - 9 over 30 weeks
