CPCAB CERTIFICATE IN COUNSELLING STUDIES
LEVEL 3
This course can be viewed as the foundation for the 2 year Diploma
You will build on the skills and have an introduction to a variety of theorectical approaches based on an Integrative Humanistic Approach
The course is based on 7 Units:
The professional framework of the Counsellor The Counsellor Relationship Client diversity The Service User-Centred approach Personal awareness in counselling Counselling Concepts Supervision and Self reflection Assessment: Students will develop portfolio of work which will be internally assessed. Students are also required to sit an external assessment which will involve watching a DVD and answering questions about what they have seen.
Entry Requirements: Minimum Age 19 Evidence of previous skills training of a minimum of 90 hours Payment by installments possible either per term or monthly
